When the autumn season comes most of us are ready to see the cooler temperatures.
School is back in session and a routine is being established again.
But this is no reason not to get out and have some fun.
#1 Visit the NC Mountains and see the color of the seasons change. Check out the extensive guide to seeing the Fall colors by Romantic Asheville.
#2 October 19, 20, 21is the Carolina Balloon Fest and it is fun for the entire family. With morning and evening balloon launches and activities all day, this is a crowd pleaser.

#3 Visit your favorite small town, grab a cup of coffee and spend the day exploring like.
Eat at restaurants, shop the shops and feel the town vibe for a mini vacation.
I read Our State magazine and find the best travels tips and advice on things to do, eat and see in NC.
#4 Pack a picnic and head to a State Park in your area. Here is the link to NC State Parks. Visit as many parks as you can before cold weather hits. I promise it will be beautiful.
#5 Plan some trips to go apple picking. Roadside markets dot the roads in our area.
Who wants apple pie?
Here are 5 of the beast Apple Orchards
The dog days of summer are coming to an end and cold weather will have us locked inside until spring, so get out and enjoy the days of Fall. Honestly, this is my favorite time of the year.
