Simple Tuesday: A new series and a project
February 24, 2015 • crafts, Crafty, decorating, DIY, fashion, Simple Tuesday
I am going to start a new series called "Simple Tuesday"
I am starting this series for two reasons, because by nature
Monday's can be tough and I don't want
Monday's can be tough and I don't want
to add something else to your plate on that day and I just wanna keep it simple for my readers.
So, please follow along on Tuesday's to see what simple crafts, recipes or tips I may be sharing.
This first Simple Tuesday project will be a Jewelry Board that I made for
my bathroom to hold my jewelry and earrings.
I just cut a piece of wood and covered it in pretty fabric that I already had laying around.
I added the ribbon at the top just for an accent and finished
it off with decorative nail heads in the corners.
Pre drill your holes for your knobs that will hold your jewelry. You can really mix it up and add
knobs that will fit what you are wanting to hold. As you can see I used different types of knobs and
handles for my jewelry board. Also, make sure the screw for the knobs is long enough to go thru the
wood as you attach a screw to the back to secure.
Voila there you have it. Our first simple Tuesday project is done and I think it really is a nice way to
organize all your jewelry.
Lunch in Downtown Mooresville

Today I am going to take you Downtown Mooresville, NC. I live in Mooresville and I have for 47 Years now. The downtown area is your all american town dotted with little Mom & Pop shops, some have been here at least 100 years. Today I am going to share my favorite place for breakfast, lunch or dinner in Downtown.
The Daily Grind Grill & Cafe

Mooresville, NC 704-230-1405

7am-3pm Sunday
Located Downtown Mooresville
The inside has dark hard wood flooring and a dining area downstairs and upstairs
Are these exposed brick walls just the prettiest thing you have ever seen?
Now that we have seen the beautiful building, let's talk food.
One of my favorite dishes is the French Onion Soup. It comes to your table in a nice hot crock
bubbling with cheese and a giant crouton.
Another one of my go to meals is the Pastrami Melt with Pasta Salad. Really, if we were to get right
to it, the entire menu is my favorite.
Breakfast is offered all day and you can have some really great breakfast meals anytime.
The Daily Grind offers Crab Cake Benedict, Steak and a very delicious Eggs Benedict with an
amazing hollandaise sauce.
If you are looking for a great place to grab a meal then stop on by The Daily Grind and enjoy a nice
menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast menu.
King Arthur Flour-Bake for Good
February 2, 2015 • Cooking, girl time, school
I am here to tell you what a great thing that King Arthur Flour is doing.
I love when companies & individuals, share their success with others.
My daughter brought 2 bags of flour(one all-purpose and one whole wheat), a small cookbook,
pack of yeast, food leveler and a bag for returning a loaf to school.
King Arthur Four provided her entire 4th Grade with these supplies and asked them to
Bake For Good. Bake For Good is when the children bake one loaf to feed his/her family,
the second loaf goes back into our community to feed others who need it.
Thank you King Arthur Flour for the supplies.
Check out this link for more info on Bake For Good Program.
I have never made homemade bread before so, I was a little intimidated.
Have no fear, the directions were clear and to the point and took it slow and step by step. The bread
only took 30 mins to bake. It was the several times you had to let it rise that eats up about 3 1/2 hours
total time as on the directions.
We were home on Sunday cooking for family dinner and prepping for the Super Bowl, so we had
plenty of time.
This is the bread after the 1st rise. It really turned out nice.
Ella kneading the dough
Here is the bread braid that Ella did all on her own
Congrats Ella, you have just made bread.
Just as a side note: Ella made this bread really all by herself.
I helped with taking bread in & out of the oven.
Thank you King Arthur Flour and the Bake For Good Program.
Happy Baking!!
